Welcome to the 2017 programme of holiday courses at Uppingham. As ever, there will be holiday fun for all ages and all interests with music, sports, drama, art, technology and science courses on offer during both the Easter and summer holidays.
To add to our range of music courses and perennial favourites such as Young Musicians’ Week, we are introducing a new Musical Beginnings course. This two-day non-residential course is an introduction to music and music-making for those just embarking on their musical journeys. At the other end of the scale, our Strings Course and Solo Singing Course offer intensive coaching for more advanced musicians.
We are delighted that the hugely popular Sensational Science course launched last year is back again, as are our excellent Art and Creative Writing courses. Technowiz and the popular Junior Code Academy and Raspberry Pi-oneers also return. The Junior Coders will have the opportunity to work with CrumbleBot robots, whilst the Rapsberry Pi-oneers will be able to stretch their programming skills creating new products incorporating multiple electronics.
Also new to the programme is an Easter GCSE Revision Course. This brand new academic course offers intensive tutoring for students about to sit their IGCSE exams in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Maths. The course will take place during the Easter holidays and is the ideal preparation for this important stage in every student’s life.
We are delighted to be able to offer residential options on all of our summer courses. Our fantastic pastoral teams are on hand 24-hours a day to act in loco parentis and will ensure that every child has lots of fun and the best possible experience away from home.
As always, we have made sure there is something for everyone so we hope you find a course to inspire you and your children.
