5230419 Musical Beginnings - New Course
Tutor: Jane Stevens
Location: Uppingham School
An introduction to music and music making for the beginner.
A two-day musicianship course for children aged approximately 5-9 who have just started or are about to start learning an instrument. The course will develop children's musical skills through singing, pitch, rhythm, ensemble and music reading games and activities to prepare them for playing in bands and orchestras in the near future. This is perfect for those who are not quite ready for the full Young Musicians' Week but are keen to develop their musicianship in a fun and focused way. No previous experience is necessary, but children who have started an instrument are welcome to bring it along.
