Tutor: Charlotte White
Location: Uppingham School
Our popular hockey coaching courses are aimed at boys and girls aged 7-14. Head coach Charlie White currently plays for Letchworth Ladies and coaches the Hertfordshire County Junior Squad. She will be assisted by a team of qualified coaches. The course is appropriate for beginners, right through to county standard players since participants are split by age and ability. It is therefore ideal for those who want to learn more about the sport, or who wish to refine their skills for the season. The focus of the camps will be the development of core skills including passing, ball carrying, elimination skills and defensive skills through fun, exciting practices and game play. Specialist goalie training will also be available. There will also be the opportunity for competitive game play to improve decision making skills and game awareness and understanding. Hockey sticks can be supplied if required, although we ask players to bring their own gum shields and shin pads.
